Pivot Table & Slicers

Is there a way of establishing if slicers or timelines are active, i.e. a slicer option has been selected or the timeline has been clicked?

Or alternatively, has the associated pivot table been filtered by the use of slicers and/or the timeline?

The slicercache has a filtercleared property that returns true if there are no filters on it.
