Hi all

Is anyone aware of limitations with Excel 2010 pivot tables whendouble-clicking grand total and 'Showing Detail'? I use 2016 for work and havebuilt a few dashboards which use pivot tables, slicers and vba to then extractfrom the main data what the user has filtered on. My problem is that the clientonly have 2010 version and I've only just noticed that for some reason, pivottables in 2010 don't seem to want to extract the data as filtered? Say you have100 rows of logged jobs, 30 of them were logged this year. I select 2018 on myslicer, the pivot table will return 30 as the grand total but when I doubleclick the grand total figure, the extracted table is of all 100.

Am I missing something? Is there a way around this at all?

Hope you can help - I'm looking at 4 months of work down the loo!

Cheers

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
Can you add the slicer field to the report filter area of the table?
