Hi guys,

on my excel file I create using a macro a data source as the result of an import (and merge) of two files. The data fills from cell A to Z in a sheet named "Master". This operation is done every week and. Due to some changes on the two files I need to import, the contents of the sheet "Master" will change as well.

When the import and merge is completed I manually do a refresh of some pivot table using "Refresh All" button, but I can't see the changes. The pivot seems to be static and not dynamic. In details my issues is this:

  1. In time 0 my Master contains
    A B C D
  2. In time 0 the pivot table pointing to the sheet "Master" gives in output A B C D
  3. In time 1 I import the new data containing A B C D + E F G. When completed I try to Refresh All Pivot but the pivot table still reports A B C D and not A B C D E F G

My pivot table has been created specifying as Data Source "Master!$A:$Z". I have no filters activated both on the pivot and on the Master file as well.

My excel version is Excel 2007 SP3.

The only way I have to clear the issue is to recreate all the pivots. Does anybody know if there's a way to automatically fix the issue?

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
You could try and write a macro to do the Pivot the range should be the usedrange on Sheet named Master...
