Pivot Table Question

Hi,

I have a pivot table that references data in another worksheet. For some reason, the size of the pivot tableappears to have increased (from 3 columns width to 5 columns width). Is itpossible to reduce the size back to 3 columns width and then start adding infields as Rows and Labels.

My issue is that I need to keep the size of the pivot table constant because there are other data tables in the same worksheet (beside the pivot table) that I do not want to be overwritten.

Thanks

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Can you say why the pivot table is adding columns?

I imagine it is because it has columns defined by the data (e.g. monthly totals) in which case you will need to control what data is included .. either by a filter on the field that defines the columns or by adding an "include me" type column which is a main filter on the table and restricts the data selected to appear in the pivot table.
