Hey guys! I have a very important and urgent question:
I am doing a quantitive content analysis of newspaper articles and have coded them all in different categories. One of the categories would be "Gender of the victim". 1=female, 2=male, 3=both, 4=not specified, 5=not applicable. In one of the analysed newspapers, there was no article with female and male victims, hence "3" never appears in that column.
I created a pivot table, to see how many articles fell into which category and to see each category's percentage of the grand total. However, because "3" never appeared in the column, it is not included in the pivot table rows, but I need it to be there, even if the amount of articles that apply to this category are 0.
Do I have to add any info into my data matrix or do I have to manually add another row in the pivot table (and if yes, how on earth do I do that?)
Thanks so much in advance for your help!!!
Antonia
