Hello,

For some reason my pivot table will not display a certain contract designation. Please see the attached image:

The blanks in the 3rd column should be displaying a "7-WIP" designation. When I go to the source data and change that row's designation to "8-WIP-LEGAL REVIEW" for example and refresh, the "8-WIP-LEGAL REVIEW" appears. It is only the "7-WIP" that doesn't show up. Please note that the data in pivot column 3 comes from a dropdown list in the source data and there are 18 different options ("7-WIP" being the only one that won't show). Also, please note that when I double click on a value in the pivot for one of the rows that should be displaying "7-WIP" the "7-WIP" appears in the drilldown. Also, I've checked conditional formatting, text formatting (in the source data and pivot), and the format of "7-WIP" in the dropdown source list.

Hopefully this kind of makes sense, please help.

Cheers,
Colin

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Hi Colin

I know you already checked but my guess would be conditional formatting or user defined formatting in the pivot table.

Perhaps someone overtyped that item in the pivot with something like a space.

What exactly did you try? If the cause was what I suggested, the easiest fix is to type the correct value over one of the blank pivot cells.
