Hi All,

New to forum so limited knowledge on how i go about it. But here goes....

Having some difficulty creating a pivot table in the format i would like it.

I have a list of golfers in the first column, with tournament attendance in columns B onwards-

BMW PGA British Masters Nordea Masters etc....
Player

Rory McIlroy Yes No No

Thomas Pieters Yes Yes No

Rafa Cabrera Bello Yes No Yes

On a separate sheet, i would like to create a pivot table or similar, from which i can select an individual player and get a list of the events they will be attending. Please provide your thoughts on the best way to achieve this.

Many Thanks

Benji

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
simplest to me would be when you have the whole data selected, make the pivot, drag the players to Rows, drag the events to column, then as you select the player all the events should show on a line

Hi Mole999,

Thank you for your reply

Key issue i have is that the data is yes/no, so rather than the name of the tournament appearing in the pivot table, i have a list of yes/nos with no correspondence to tournaments

the headings should have the names of the tournament as their identifier

Excel Workbook
ABCDE

10McIlroyynn*
