Hey all,
I'm at my wits end here. I know pivot tables are quirky to say the least, but I'm literally unable to do my job at this point.
I have a data source of 1070 rows, and 10 columns. After creating a pivot table (With slicers) I generally apply some (BASIC) formatting to make it easier to read. (Center/middle alignment, wrap text)
Clicking the center align button causes excel to go into "not responding" for a few minutes.
After formatting, slicers selections takes 3-10 seconds to show sliced data, and formatting isn't retained on all cells.
If I clear formatting, slicer selections load INSTANTLY when clicked.
If I use formatting on larger datasets, it will basically break Excel.
I've tried googling, and while it looks like others have similar issues, I haven't found a solution.
When applying formatting, I do the following:
-Clear all slicer filters
-Select all columns of pivot table (Also tried selecting all cells in the workbook)
-Apply formatting
Other:
-"Preserve formatting" on the pivot table is selected
- Tried unchecking "Properties follow chart data" in advanced options - no change.
Computer specs (Brand new/fresh install of windows & office)
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13800H
RTX A1000 6GB Mobile
64.0 GB (63.6 GB usable)
Windows 10 Enterprise
Office 365 Version 2308
Any help here would be appreciated!
Thank you!
Chris
