Hello. I can use some help with a problem being experienced within a Pivot Table. The file and pivot table were originally created in Excel 97-2003 file format. The file has been updated to Excel 2010. Both before and after this upgrade, my pivot tables show different options than other Excel 2010 files with pivot tables. To be specific, in my "normal" 2010 files, the pivot tables show filtering options like "Filter by Color" and "Text Filter", but the pivot tables in this other file shows filtering options like "Label Filters" and "Value Filters" which are not the desired filtering options.

Why does this file originally created in Excel 97-2003 which has been upgraded to Excel 2010 continue to include different pivot table filtering options and how can they be changed to include the more functional options normally seen in Excel 2010? Thank you for your coaching.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
I haven't kept any files from that long ago. (Been on 2010 since almost it first came out. Won a copy.)
Likely the version of the PT is still the older table version. When you build a table using VBA you see these differences.
You may have to build a complete new Pivot Table to get around that.
Also, double check that table doe not have the "Classic Pivot Table" view setting engaged thru the Pivot Table options. (A possibility.)

Wait a minute, Filter By Color is an AutoFilter function... ?
Did you select the cell +1 Right from the last Pivot Header cell and select AutoFilter.
