Hi, I am currently setting up a dashboard for my company.

I have a series of pivot charts that I want to be able to adjust using filters. I need to be able to adjust the date quarters that are being shown in each chart. The version of Excel I am using already groups the dates in my table into years and dates separately. I can therefore currently select 2018/2019 with the year filter or Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4 with the quarter filter. The issue I have is that I will need to mix and match the years and quarters. For example, I need to select Q4 from 2018 and Q1/Q2/Q3 from 2019. There is no way with my filters to do this. I can either have Q1/Q2/Q3 for 2018 and 2019 or all 4 quarters for one (or both) of the years.

What I really need is a single filter that combines years and quarters so that I can select from the quarters in the list in the following format:

2018 Q1
2018 Q2
2018 Q3
2018 Q4
2019 Q1
2019 Q2 etc...

Does anybody know how I can do this?

Thanks in advance,

James.
