Pivot table difference question

Hello. My excel data has depreciation information, and I would like to create a pivot table that would calculate the summary information between two dates. The date in one column. Currently I have to generate two separate pivot tables (one for each date that I am analyzing) and then enter formulas manually to calculate the difference.

The screen shot is what I am looking for, but since the dates are in the same column, I do not know how to do this. Thanks.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
I was able to do this using the feature "Show value as" My Base Field is Period and Base Item as the prior period (11/30/2023). The issue is I have to do this to several columns. Is it possible to do this update with a macro? It would make the update so much quicker. Thanks

I also tried using the macro recorder and the recorder did not show the changes that I made. Also my search on the internet has been unsuccesful.
