I have 52 pay periods that I want to have a pivot table show the breakdown of each week. why can't I have the columns but it breaks it down by year or quarter. I just want all 52 weeks to show

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Still using the Grouping feature, use Days. With Days you can set the day interval to 7. You'll need to specify the first date, or at least a date that begins on the correct day of the week for your weekly periods.

If you right click the date field, select Group by... select Days (and deselect all other time periods) and set the Number of days you can group by weeks.

is that in the field settings for check date, or do I go somewhere else? I have the earnings codes for columns, sum in values and date in rows

In the pivot table right click the column/row that has the dates you want to group by.

You should then see a context menu with a Group by... option, select that.
