Hi......help.

I am trying to pivot some data. The source data contains dates, such as 01/07/2016 (1st July 2016).

However, when I select the date to incorporate into my pivot table the date 01/07/2016 does not appear. Instead, I have columns headed month, quarter & year.

Years Quarters Date
2017 Qtr3 Jul
2017 Qtr3 Jul
2017 Qtr3 Jul
2017 Qtr3 Jul
2017 Qtr3 Jul

How do I remove these three columns from the pivot table and just have the actual date?

Thank you
Jon

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
when you put the date in you get three fields in the rows I believe

Just drag back up the ones that you dont want. ie quaters and years

I think hard withou seeing it and how you are doing the pivot
