Pivot Table Data Crunching: Excel 2013

Hi guys, I am currently working thorugh Chapter 14 of this book, Advanced Pivot Table Tips and Tricks.

Tip 2: Refresh All Pivot Tables in a Workbook at the Same Time goes into detail around 3 options to either manually adjust the setting in each table or use VBA. I have tested out the Data> Refresh All on a few workbooks and this seems to acheive the same result.

Are there any differnces by simply choosing to Refresh All from the ribbon to the macro recording and VBA method described in the book?
