Hi, using excel 2010.

Not sure how to ask this question, but basically i have a giant spreadsheet, with three specific columns. An example would be as follows:

Column A could be different types of meals: breakfast, lunch, etc
Column B could be different types of foods: breads, fruits, etc
Column C could be specific foods: apples, oranges, etc

Again, the above is just an example. The sheet and actual data has quite a bit of information.

My question: I pivoted the info, but looking for the table to show, for example, how many different individual fruits are included with breakfast (fruit would be counted as "1"), and then also how many apples (unique) are within each lunch? My pivot right now lists everything by meal, but i just need to count the unique records for the next two items of data.

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
