Pivot table cell not showing complete text from data source

I have some cells in my pivot table where the textis cut short. The text exists in the data table but is not carrying over. Any help/tips appreciated.

Please respond - I have a presentation tomorrow and can not figure out why sentences are cut short in my pivot table when they are complete in the spreadsheet feeding it.

How long are the text strings that are being truncated? I have never encountered this issue but I would guess that Excel would have a fairly small character limit on text values in pivot tables, maybe 255?

I just checked one cell and it is in the 266 range - is there a limit?

There will be some sort of limit. It changes with the different versions of Excel. Does this link help:

Also, is there another way to achieve your goal? Maybe assign a ID code to each unique value and feed that into the Pivot Tables. Then save the output as a normal range and match it back...
