Pivot Table: Can't update data

I've built a fairly elaborate set of pivot tables based on data in one worksheet. Then, I have a "report page" which is a sheet with a pull-down to select one variable and then the sheet is populated with data from the different pivot tables. This is to produce a monthly report.

I have a new month of data and I can't figure out how to update all the pivot tables. I've tried:
1. Change the data source by editing the current reference (just editing the name of the sheet, but leaving the range the same)
2. Change the data source by editing the current reference (editing the name of the sheet and editing the range)
3. Change the data source by selecting the range of the new sheet
4. Replacing the data in the original sheet/range using copy/paste

None of the above work. All result in errors.
Any ideas?
