Hello,

I have a database of drivers hours in the format 00:00:00
I use a pivot table to report on the data and notice when I look at the average waiting time over 5 days the pivot total tells me one total but when I highlight the the totals for each day the total average on the status bar is different.

Is there a reason why?

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
:he numbers I have in my pivot are
02:59:35
03:54:52
03:33:58
03:17:56
03:29:37

The total average on the pivot is 03:32:35 but when I highlight the above averages, the status bar at the bottom show total average of 03:27:12

anyone know why there is a difference?

on my pivot I have filtered by "this week" so I am just seeing the 5 days rather than the months results - could this be anything to do with it?

THanks
