Pivot table and SQL

We are now thinking to add “Business intelligence” cubes to our application<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
We have created the necessary views in our SQL database which can be up to a million records<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
We have successfully pivoted against the views by using the "external data source" option in the pivot table wizard

All seems to work OK

Questions<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Is this the correct way of doing this? Are there better ways of doing this? Is it robust? Can we automatically refresh the pivot table<o:p></o:p>
