Hi,

I have searched for a solution for this issue, but haven't found i anywhere yet. I have a list looking like this:

Department1
Employee1
500

Department1
Employee2
400

Department1
Employee3
650

Department2
Employee4
250

Department2
Employee5
275

Department3
Employee6
350

Department3
Employee7
375

I need a pivot that will show me subtotals, but not on employee level:

Department1

1550

Employee1

Employee2

Employee3

Department2

525

Employee4

Employee5

Department3

725

Employee6

Employee7

Hope you can help

Thank you

Bjarne

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Can't you just remove the employees field from the pivot table?

No, sorry for not mentioning that... I need the pivot to show the employees in each department.
At the moment I am creating a separate table with the employee list, but I hope that I can include it in one table.

I don't think it is really possible. You can however use conditional formatting to make that text "invisible" by formatting the text for those lines to match the background colors.
