Hi Folks,

I have Master data and the date field is in the format "DD-MMM-YY" and from this Master data i have generated a Pivot report with several other fields and after generating report the date format i see as only MMM but not " DD-MMM-YY"format like what my source data has. I tried format cells option and went to date formatting but no use.

So can somebody help me in fixing this issue in EXCEL 2016.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
It sounds like Excel has tried to be helpful and applied grouping to your date field.
If so, Ungroup by Right+Clicking the field and choose Ungroup.
You still may need to set the formatting...

If the master data is a ranged source instead of a Table source, additional data may no be captured in the update. Could even be lost.
Your data source for the Pivot Table should be a Table or from a query using Get and Transform (on a Table).
