Pivot form after updating the source query

I have a very nice pivot table form that uses lots of calculated items/fields etc.
I produce it weekly by updating the source query with an 'append query'. I use the refresh option once the pivot is in excel and it works nicely.

One of my colleagues who will shortly be beaten around the head wants another field in the pivot. I have updated the query with this new field but it won't feed into the pivot table form.

I'm using Access 2000 if that helps.

Best guess is, you've failed to include the field somewhere.

It's hard to guess where because your problem description is inconsistent...and sounds like an Excel problem.

Are you using Excel, but using a Query to extract data from Access using the built in tools (within Excel?) -- if yes, then

1) check Access, does the field exist?
2) check your query, is the field being requested
3) check the spreadsheet ("your form") and see if any columns are hidden

If you are using Access and exporting a crosstab query to Excel (Access2K doesn't have Pivots) - check your recordsource for the Crosstab, you may not have included the field at some step...if it's in an Access form, the recordsource for the form may be manually typed in (not using an existing query)
