Pivot Combo chart - retain chart type for specific data series

I have created a pivot combo chart containing 4 series of data. I set one of these series (let's call it Series A) to a Marked Line chart type while the other series are Stacked Column type. However, if I filter the pivot data such that one of the series does not have data, therefore disappearing from the chart, the chart type for Series A will change to Stacked Column type.
How do I set up this pivot chart so that Series A is always Marked Line, regardless how many other data series are in the chart?
