I have a pivot chart that is 'live' ie we will use the graphs (stacked bar or bar) to analysie the data, then when there is a problem send this out to the department. (data is monthly usage from equipment)
Problem being that when we change cost centers etc etc the colours for the data changes (under some cost centers some items are not bought under others they are so feilds drop in and out of the table) and this is VERY anoying and when a senior manage has 2 data sets in 2 different colurs then as we all know colours are important to these folks... Naturally one can manually change the series colour manually but this is VERY time consuming and will within 2 months make me insane. so can this be locked????
Secondly is there a way of adding trend lines for the data series/grand total that stays after editing?
The other question (a nice to have) is there a way to run every pivot chat (by a specific catigory for example cost center etc etc) then copy them to another sheet one under another?? the reason being the Excell skill base here is limited to opening and viewing a file... pivot tables are VERY scary.
Thanks very much for any help that might come and if unclear i can naturally give more data.
