Pivot chart - filtering and cumulative totals year on year

Hi

I am looking to create a pivot chart that can filter by category and also carry forward a cumulative total year on year based on the filtered selection.
I am sure this is possible but cannot work out how to do it, a pictureof the (very oversimplified) example is below.
Any help greatly appreciated!
