I have a report form that displays information about various pieces of equipment in our company. I have a subreport at the top of the main report that is linked to the table that contains the pictures of the equipment. When I look at the report on the screen, you can see it. When you print the report, the area is blank. I am sure this is an easy thing to fix, but I am just getting my feet wet in Access. Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Version and version of OS might be needed here.
If you put the same picture into a Word doc and save it, how big is the file?
What is the format of the graphic?

Aside, are you sure its wise to store pictures in an Access database. I, personally wouldn't as the size and potential bloat of bitmaps is too much.

A link to the path where the image can be found is certainly better.

Dreamboat: Win2000, Office 2000, the pictures are jpg about 130k.

Abulafia: Can you store the files on the network and link then in a way that you can display the picture in a printable report as I am attempting?

Yes, Guy. You can.
To see how to link files, there's a free DB at www.theofficeexperts.com/downloads.htm

There's a photo DB there that links files from a specified folder. If the code is protected, the password is pumpkin.
:) I'm sure you can use code in your report similar to the code used on the form (in that DB) to display the picture.

Otherwise, I'm sure Ab will help you out.
