We are using acess to record mailfunctions on a power grid. The power grid contain a lot of switches, generators and power lines. Is it possible to have a picture request. I want the user to click on a object in the picture and have the name of this generator or switch put into a textbox for further use.

Hmmm.... this was not easy to explain but hopefully somebody understands it...

I have never used Access before.

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Yes

Generally, an object that you can click is a button. A button can have any text or images placed on top of it that you wish.

The results of clicking the button are unlimited, but, it is not mandatory that it be saved in a textbox. You could write the value to a table to hold, or you could save it to a non-visible textbox.

All of the above would be done on a form.

I'm wondering if what you're really looking for is more of a web-based interaction. Sure feels like what you're describing is what you see when you click on a picture on a web page. That would be a different technique, but at the most basic level (the type of things to do after clicking) it's the same.
