*** this is Power Pivot related question****
Hello Every one
So here is a description.
1) What I Have:
three tables i) Timecard ( this has the record of all the hourly work for all the employees since the beginning) ii) Employee - this has all the "Current/Most Recent" Employee information , like name, office , title etc iii) Historic Employee Table - this has the history of an employee since he joined , like historic office location, department , title/designation etc.
2) What is common - employee ID is common among all these table. But only second table has unique IDs. in all other tables, ID appear more than once due to historical record
3) What I want - Now I want to add column to the first table so that I know that in what current & historic capacity the work was done, so e.g if first table has a record for a an employee of working 7 hours on 1st Aug 2005 , I need to know that what was the employee title , location & department on 1st Aug 2005 when he/she docketed that time.
