Hi Excel expert,

I have a excel document with more than 20.000 rows with the following data:

Book1
A
1BL1934003
2BL1934004
3BL1934005
4BL1934006
5PP2010084
6PP2010085
7PP2010086
8RB2003001
9RB2003002
10RB2003003
Sheet1

It's start with two letters followed by a year followed by a few numbers, like this:
Book1
DEF
8BL1934004
9BL1934004
102 lettersyearnumbers
Sheet1

I'm looking for a formule or script what extract the year and copy that to a other cell?

Can someone help me?

Tnx

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
How about
Excel Formula:
=MID(A2,3,4)+0
