Hi guys,
Windows 7 user.
I’ve setup personal.xlsb for one of my colleagues some time ago. Since then, whenever she tries to open excel it says that:
“Excel cannot open the file ‘~$PERSONAL.XLSB’ because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file”.
I’ve tried going to file – options – add ins – disabled items (remove personal.xlsb) – that doesn’t work.
I’ve tried going to C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART but it only shows up to Microsoft – the excel folder is nowhere to be found, incidentally there are a lot fewer folders in the Microsoft folder than on my machine which doesn’t have this problem.
Can anyone help?
