Hello! Would appreciate any help...have searched the previous posts without luck...
Am using Excel XP

Q1: i want to filter out duplicate cases in a specific column where constant data e.g. 'age' is unchanged for a particular case. I have tried C&P to a separate doc, advanced filtering showing 'unique records only' however when i run Means and STDEV on the lists it seems its using all of the data, not the filtered list.
e.g.
ID Age INR blood result
2 83 2.4
2 83 2.9
2 83 1.9
2 83 5
3 70 3.8
3 70 4
3 70 8
3 70 3
__Mean/STDEV required for 'age' between these 2 patients not repeated for the 8 results.

Q2.
Is there anyway of separately analysing data split up by another variable. so in the above i'd like to know what is the CV/mean etc for ID 1, 2, 3 etc.

Its taking me ages to do the analyses individually!

Cheers in advance, Jim

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
idunnonutink, but?

Add a column that shows a value on MIN(ROW(criteria)), filter on that column
