Hi there,
I'm utilizing powerpivot to perform cost center allocation. I have a transaction table which was loaded to data model and another table containing % of allocation to each receiver cost center # was loaded to data model as well. Required relationship was established using cost center # as a primary key. In the transaction table, I have used 'related' function in a calculated column to compute overheads costs and measures were computed using 'sum' function and calculated columns.
This was relatively easy, however, the challenge arises when I have multi cost centers as receivers (40-50). Having required calculated columns and measures become more overwhelming as it's not easy to copy the formula across for calculated columns and measures in powerpivot, unlike in excel cells. I'm pretty sure there's a faster way to develop the formulas.
Any idea how to go about this would be highly appreciated.
