Hi

I need to be able to add a function so when any date is added to a cell it counts as 1 to eventually work out a percentage.

For example in one spreasheet I know there are 227 tasks to complete, if a date (01.01.24) is entered into a cell, I want to know the percentage complete.
Note the dates will vary prior to completion.

Hope someone has the answer.

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.

It is not quite clear to me how you want to calculate the percentages is it competed tasks over total number of tasks?
The dates you enter are the completion dates for each task?

Apologies I was not very good at explaining this.
I have 227 items each with 13 tasks.
The tasks can be completed on any date and the items do not need to be completed in order.
To enable me to review task progression, I want to see each task status as a percentage:

Sample data can be very helpful in explaining your request. Based on your sample, I'd guess you adapted my formula something like this:

=COUNT(B2:N2)/13

and drag it down. In any case, I'm glad we could help!
