Hi
I have a P&L that calculates the selling prices as a positive and the product costs as a negative but want to determine the % markup.
I have a positive selling value $280,000.00 in Q50 and a cost that is a negative value in Q50 -$200,000.00 so the markup should return as 40% markup but cannot seem to get there.
Any help would be great
Stephen

Maybe I can get some more help.
The above works perfectly but I have now need to determine the % of a value which is Negative of a positive value.
So the negative value is -52162 (in A62) and the positive is 282023 (in A2) so the value I need is 18.49%

divide the 2 numbers will give you the percentage and you can use the ABS() function to ignore the sign, and format the cell as percenrage

=ABS(A62/A2)
