Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to calculate a percentage by taking a total number and figuring out what percent of it is another number.

Example:
<colgroup><col width="56" style="width:42pt"> </colgroup><tbody>
31

20

19

17

15

15

15

14

14

14

14

13

13

13

13

13

13

13

13

12
</tbody>
From this example, I need to give a total # of rows (20) and find what percent are 14 or higher (11) - Normally I can just do that math.. But in Excel, I can't figure out how to get the total rows with figures in them and have it figure out how many are a number or higher.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. I'm a novice at Excel but learning day by day.

Thank you,
Joe

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Sorry about the spread of #'s... When I originally did it, they were in Excel cells.

You need to reference A2:A21 instead of A1:A20 as A1 is your header row
Yes 55% of 20 is 11
