Pausing Print Procedure on Printer Error

I have a macro that sends multiple jobs to a printer based on a list. The number of jobs could be anywhere from 50 to 700 individual print jobs. I want to be able to test if the last job was completed or if there is an error on the printer before sending a job to the printer so that I can pause the macro and start it back up when the printer is fixed or free.

I would rather handle this in excel rather than the printer queue because of the volume of print jobs.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?
