Hello to all,
Not sure where to edit.
At work the path to a file on my desktop is :
C:\Documents and Settings\ndendri\Desktop\test.xls

At home it is:
C:\Documents and Settings\nick dendrinos\Desktop\test.xls

meaning that any work I do at home, when I take it to work I have to edit the "path" and vice versa.

In XP Pro where would I edit (if possible) to harmonize things?

Many thanks

I think you could simply set up a new user account at home to hold all your work and call it "ndendri", in which case the two paths (home and work) would be identical. I believe you can do this by going Start and right-clicking on the user name at the top of the dialog that opens. It would seem to be the simplest way.
