Path to linked table..

I have a access db with a linked table from another access db on the same hard drive. When I use the db (queries/forms, whatever) from another computer on the network I get error messages (sorry, not able to re-create right now), I believe because the path to the linked table is recorded in the db as "c:\...".

I could create code to query the userid and then link to the table on opening the db based on a hard coded relative path, but I'm wondering if there is an easier way?

Also, if I link through the network on the pc which contains both dbs on its hard drive, then would that cause all data calls to the linked table to go through the network?

Thanks!

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
