I am having an issue in Excel that I think is an easy fix but I just can't figure it out. I'm trying to sort a table of data which is originally a formula so I'm taking the whole table and copying and pasting the table over itself. When I copy the column that is a list of 7 number codes it copies it as text and not a number. I'm trying to make a macro that does this step and then sorts it but since the data is stored as text it just won't do it. I've highlighted the whole column and set the type to number but it just keeps changing it back on me. If there is a way to have a macro that converts a column back into numbers that would work too.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
try this, changing the table name and table column to suit
VBA Code:
With ActiveSheet.ListObjects("Table1").ListColumns(3)
    .DataBodyRange.NumberFormat = "General"
    .DataBodyRange.Value = .DataBodyRange.Value
End With
