Pasting Excel Charts or Ranges in PPT and after reopening the PPT the selection has changed

Hi, I work in finance and we have some Excel and PPT files that are updated by several people of the team using office 2016. Some of us, have Office in English, Portuguese or French. Sometimes, when the files are open by someone else in the team and the PPT are re open, the selection is no longer the same one as we had before and the PPT can not be seen. I have to reopen excel and copy and paste the microsoft excel object again as all formatting is lost.
Does anyone experienced this issue? Do you think could be because of different languages? is there a work around? Please see image below. tks a lot
