Pasting data failed error? plz help

i am using excel 2010 powerpivot addin 32 bit
i have data in excel of ~75000 rows.
the columns have date, numbers, text, etc. type of data.
when i click create linked table, i get this error- Pasting data failed.
plz help..( i want to create linked data because the data changes with every month and the pivot table/charts needs to be updated accordingly).

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
Can you get your data into a CSV and import it that way? If nothing else, you might find a weird issue w/ your data during that process, but you can also just refresh your data in powerpivot from an updated csv file each month?

thanks for the reply
i did a clean() and now the data gets linked..but still some problems, because the file size has increased and taking a lot of time to open or save.
