Pasting Chart into PPT from Excel

In the past, I have always pasted charts and tables into excel as a picture, then resized them using the % size properties once in powerpoint (I run a macro to make all charts in excel exactly the same size before pasting them into ppt). At my new employer, when I past a chart or table into ppt., the size and % fields are empty, so if I change to say, 50%, the chart becomes a tiny little spec. We are using office 2003. Any ideas on why this is hapening and how I can use the % properties to make sure my charts are exactly the same size. It works fine pasting in to word.

Any help will be much appreciater
