Hi
In view of the imminent changes to Data Protection in the EU, we are having to be much more careful about how we share data with each other. I am using Excel spreadsheets and have just created, saved and password protected an Excel spreadsheet to send to my client. Separately I texted him the password. However, although here it won't open without the password, when he received it he could open it without the password. I have had this happen before. Please can anyone help/advise?
Thanks Lynne

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
First, don't rely on Excel protection! If you are serious about protecting your data, you will want to use something better than Excel password protection, which is not that secure.

It would be better to Zip the file and use encryption. The following link talks about a free zip program called 7-Zip, which offers better protection.
