I have a sheet with multiple sheets for different employees. When the workbook is opened I want the employee to be able to see only his/her sheet. The manager should be able to see all sheets. The sheets should be password protected so that only the correct sheet is displayed to the right employee.
PS I wish I can upload my files so that you can see what I mean. I hope this message is clear.

Can I send you my file...I copied the code over and it is not hiding the sheets. It is also not asking for the user name. How do I send the file across?

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.

Can somebody please look at the code.
I want the admin/manager to be able to see all worksheets. Each user should be able to view only their files (ie Niraj, Umer, Chaya etc...) When they are done, the sheet should be hidden.
The password they enter should not be visible. I do not know how to do it. The workbook should open to an empty sheet., where if the username and password is correct then the user can view, work and edit his shhet. WHen done, it should save and hide and link the infomration to the sheet marker total deposit.
Please advise and/or show me
Thanks

cannot read your file as I use Excel2002
Were you able to read mine?
It does what you want except:
The passwords are NOT "*****"
and the transfer of data to "Total Deposits" well that I leave to someone else that can open your upload on Box.Net

Good luck

Your workbook is password protected. How are we supposed to see your data structure if you have it locked down? I don't really want to hack your file.

Anyway, a basic synopsis might be something like: hide all user worksheets on close (in case macros are disabled when the file is opened the next time), on open ask for a username password (I see you have a userform for that already), based on the entry (if correct), unhide that sheet only, and on close (again) hide all user worksheets.

I am sorry. But in the latest thread there is no password. I really appreciate you looking at this for me. I am not familiar with VB.
Basically, I want only Manager/admin to view total deposit. User Niraj should only be able to view (hide/unhide) his sheet. When the workbook saves , the sheet should be hidden. Similarly user Umer should only be able to view his sheet.....
Thanks for your help

There's a password on the VBA Project? How are we supposed to see what your code is and amend it? Please do not post files which are password protected, hence do not post anything which isn't public knowledge, as this is a public board. If you have sensitive information you do not wish to share, you may want to think about hiring someone to do this for you. As for me, I won't hack your file just to give you code. Sorry.
