I tried a search and couldn't find anything on this topic...

On our network drive we have a folder containing sensitive information that we do not want viewed by eveyone however, we still want it on the network drive so that certain people within the group (with the password) will be able to access the information.

Is there a way to password protect folders? I tried looking in the Properties menu of the folder and only saw Read-Only and Hidden options.

We are using Windows 2000.

Thanks in advance.

You say your on network.

Can't you set priveleges or something for allowing certain users access to the folder?

Maybe speak to your network admin people.

I didn't even think about contacting the network admin people... I'll give that a shot.

Any ideas as to how I can password protect folders on my C:\ drive?
