Hi Folks,

I am trying to create a file hyperlink in Excel that once printed to PDF is still usable. For example, I would like to distribute a PDF of an Excel sheet to my users... and within that PDF have a hyperlink that will allow them to drill-down into the original Excel file.

PDF has no problem detecting simple URL Links (www.google.com) but I can't get a "file" link to work... ie. file:///c:\documents and settings....

I have already tried the Excel "Hyperlink" function with no luck... as well as the Hyperlink Wizard Tool... they work in Excel but are not detected by the PDF.

I know this is probably more of a PDF question but Im sure this would be a great tip to use in Excel allowing you to lock down documents in PDF but providing editing capability by drilling into the original files.

Thanks
