Hello -- I administer and develop a DB App -- SQL Server Back End on an Azure Server/MS Access Front End -- about 35 end users.

I'm curious about trying to use pass through queries to populate some of our forms -- my understanding is that if I try to do that, those forms would then not be editable? I've googled around and have found a few articles here and there, but can anyone here shed any light on this, or have experience doing this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Welshgasman is absolutely correct - the data is pass-through queries is not updateable.

See this article here, which says: Create a pass-through query - Microsoft Support
The results of a pass-through query are read-only. To directly edit data in a datasheet or form, create a linked table to an indexed view.

The article contains a linked to creating indexed views, if you are interested.
