Would anyone have an interest in working with me on an Access project. This is the approach. I have a file of voters in my area. It is very large but I only want people from it who were born before 1950. So this will probably cut it down to a much smaller file. Then I have another file that is in a .dbf format, it is a tax file. I have been opening it with excel but that is because I am not a computer person. Now I am aware that it is a database file and it can be opened in Access. My point is I am wanting to do a compare to match people in the voter file born before 50 with people in the tax file. Would you have an interest in doing this and if so how much would you charge me? You can see the voter file by going to: http://www.meckboe.org/ clicking on downloads and picking Voter Data. Note this file is huge with over 400K people. And I can send a sample excel file to show the fields etc.(this is from a dbf file but I do not know how to use Access). Please let me know if you can do it. Again I am wanting to find matches in the tax file and voter file.

Thank you,

Galen Massey

Would it be easier to de duplicate \ match these before putting them into Access. e.g. Import into Excel using Past Special then Unicode text?
Then use a suitable function such as SUMIF to identify matching records\fields.

Finally you could add a Data Filter to only select records that you want then if required use them to form a table in Access.
