parameter prompt

I created a report that is based on a query in my database. The idea was to create the report design and ten copy that report and point to other queries with different criteria. The original report works fine but the copied reports prompt for a parameter on a field. The report still works but the prompt is rather annoying. Any ideas why I'm getting the prompt and how I might get rid of it?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
The only thing that comes to mind, because this has happened to me. Is that the query does not have a field that the report has. In other words are all the queries identical? Since all the reports are also identical.

Look at the prompt, that should tell you what field its looking for.

Does this help?

Hi Ihather,

Yeah, besides what Parra said, it sounds like you might have criteria somewhere that not picking its value up from an object, so its requesting it. If you don't need to supply information for the prompt, just find whatever it is trying tp reference, and remove the reference.

Example,
In a select query, under criteria for a field, type in [Enter Data]. Since this is not a defined field or object, when the query gets to this criteria, it will prompt:
"Enter Criteria" and use what you enter as the criteria for that field in the query.

Regardless, a field or object is being referenced incorrectly, or you're attempting to reference a field or object that doesn't exist.
