Hi everyone,

I have data that looks like this:

Location
Value
Name

1
1
Ann

4
2
Pete

3
3
Sylvia

3
2
Bob

4
3
Pete

2
1
Jack

4
3
Bob

3
5
Bob

1
2
Ann

I would want to pair data by criteria of column 1 and 3. So that it will look something like this:

Location
Value
Name

1
1
Ann

1
2
Ann

3
2
Bob

3
5
Bob

4
2
Pete

4
3
Pete

2
1
Jack

3
3
Sylvia

4
3
Bob

In the next step I would like to identify the absolute and relative difference between the values of the pairs. But thats maybe a next thread. Thanks a lot for helping!!

When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
I can't figure out what you are wanting to do. It looks like you've simply re-ordered the list. Would sorting by column 3 work for you?
